Getting Here

Traveling with firearms:
Flying: You may transport unloaded firearms in a locked hard-sided container as checked baggage only. Declare the firearm and/or ammunition to the airline when checking your bag at the ticket counter. The container must completely secure the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be easily opened are not permitted. Be aware that the container the firearm was in when purchased may not adequately secure the firearm when it is transported in checked baggage. For more information visit: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunition
Driving:
The Firearms Owners’ Protection Act (FOPA) shields you from local restriction if you’re transporting firearms for lawful purposes state to state. You can look up the exceptions on the internet. Your firearm must be unloaded and locked out of reach in your vehicle. In vehicles without a trunk, the unloaded firearm must be in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console. Ammunition that is either locked out of reach in the trunk or in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console is also covered. For more information visit: https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150101/guide-to-the-interstate-transportation
